OSHA General Industry course in Rawalpindi, Pakistan
OSHA Outreach Training for General Industry. The program is designed to provide a variety of training for workers with safety responsibilities. Training should focus on hazard identification, avoidance, control, and prevention rather than OSHA standards. A minimum of 30 hours of class time is required.
1. Mandatory – 12 hours.
a) OSHA Introduction – 1 hour.
(1) OSHA mandates course content for this module
(2) Covers employee rights, employer obligations and complaints. It contains helpful resources on occupational health and safety. Also included are sample weekly fatalities and casualty reports, safety data sheets, and OSHA.
Work-Related Injury and Illness Records (OSHA Form 300).
2. Elective – 10 hours.
You should have at least 10 hours of training on the following topics: At least five of the following topics should be presented. The minimum topic length is 30 minutes.
a) Hazardous materials (flammable and combustible liquids, spray painting, compressed gases, immersion and painting operations).
b) Closed rooms requiring approval. c) Lockout/Tagging.
d) machinery protection;
e) Welding, cutting and soldering.
f) Introduction to industrial hygiene.
g) bloodborne pathogens.
