As an International qualification, there are no geographical restrictions on who can take the course or its application. Additionally GradIOSH and CMIOSH membership options are available, though these are entirely at the discretion of the awarding body
What is the NVQ Level 6 Health and Safety?
The NVQ Level 6 Diploma in Occupational Health and Safety Practice is a new degree level work-based qualification. The qualification is evaluated by each candidates’ evidence, based on real-world, on-the-job training. You can even use your historic records as evidence to contribute towards your NVQ qualification. This qualification is recognized by The Institution of Occupational Health (IOSH) as a route to membership. The institute’s primary goal is to give high-quality management, technical, Safety & IT Physical / Online courses.For certification, this institute is affiliated with the Govt of Pakistan, PSDA also international certfication awarding body to UK, USA, Canada, ISO. We analyse and recognize talent at all levels by providing a variety of certifications, professional registrations, content and skill framework, and other resources.
What are the entry requirements for this course?
There are no formal entry requirements for this qualification. NC Skills will carry out an
initial assessment of candidate skills and knowledge to identify any gaps and help plan the
assessment. This qualification is approved for candidates aged 19+
We do recommend that candidates have attended a NEBOSH National General Certificate (Level 3) or equivalent course.
Are there any exams?
No, there are no exams. This qualification is competence-based, candidates must demonstrate the level of competence described in the units. This is an evidence collecting based qualification.
This evidence is then submitted to an online e-portfolio and assessed by one of our centers qualified assessors.
Why take the NVQ Level 6 Health and Safety?
This qualification assures the knowledge of those who influence health and safety standards within their organisations. If you have successfully completed your NVQ Level 5 within the last 5 years, or are in the process of completing an NVQ Level 5, it may be possible to update your qualification to Level 6. Your portfolio of evidence will need to be reassessed and transferred. We are unable to reassess evidence from more than 5 years ago as this is considered outdated.

You will need to have some knowledge of health and safety, typically a NEBOSH National General Certificate or similar. You will also need to be in a health and safety role within your organisation, in order to generate and log evidence.

COURSE DURATION
Approximately 1,064 hours time dedication is required to be completed over a two year period. On average candidates complete this NVQ in 7-12 months

STUDY METHOD
You will continue to perform your daily on-the-job tasks. The documentation you have can then be re-purposed as evidence towards completing this level 6 NVQ.NVQ Level 6 in Health & Safety in Pakistan

STUDY SYLLABUS
There are 10 mandatory units you must study, which cover a broad range of topics ranging from, promoting positive safety culture, to developing emergency procedures.

2.Develop and implement the health and safety policy
3.Develop and implement effective communication systems for health and safety information
4.Develop and maintain individual and organisational competence in health and safety matters
5.Identify, assess and control health and safety risks
6.Develop and implement proactive monitoring systems for health and safety
7.Develop and implement reactive monitoring systems for health and safety
8.Develop and implement health and safety emergency response systems and procedures
9.Develop and implement health and safety review systems
10.Maintain knowledge of improvements to influence health and safety practice
