Quality Control, or QC for short, is the process by which a company checks the quality of all elements involved in production. ISO 9000 defines quality control as “the part of quality control aimed at meeting quality requirements”. This approach focuses on three aspects. Elements such as controls, order management, defined and well-managed processes, performance and integrity standards, and identification of records. Abilities such as knowledge, skills, experience and qualifications.
Soft elements such as people, integrity, trust, organizational culture, motivation, team spirit and good relationships. This inspection involves visually inspecting each product in detail, often using a stereo microscope, before it is released to the external market.
